Next Level Yoga: Transitions



Pay attention to the movements between poses and your flow will be smoother and your yoga time will be even more beneficial to you.

Vinyasa yoga is a fast-paced form of yoga that links breath to movement. Each inhale or exhale is purposeful and linked to the transitions between poses. Just as your sun salutations have a breathing “rhythm,” so, too, can more complex postures. 
By keeping your body constantly moving through the transitions between poses, you are working it harder than if you held poses and then re-set for a new move on your mat. Here is a transition you can try without setting your feet down, once on each side of the body.
