Power Of Private Training

One-on-one sessions help you learn how to workout for your personal needs and fitness goals.
In my very first week at our studio, I sat down to do an evaluation with a prospective client – let’s call her “Sarah.” She suffered from frequent back pain, tight hips, rounded shoulders, sore wrists, and sometimes pain/numbness that starting in the legs and ending up at her feet. She wanted more than anything to drop 30 pounds, to fix her back pain and to be healthy again.

After talking about her body and her needs and her goals, we tried exercises for strength, flexibility, coordination, and ended with balance work. After the session, we discussed her strengths and weaknesses and what I thought would be an appropriate course of action for her body. Sarah seemed satisfied, but for whatever reason didn’t want to commit to personal training sessions. She told me her routine at the gym was working for her and that she would start to implement my “homework exercises” that I had given her to help with her back and other pain. Then Sarah disappeared.

Six months later Sarah reappeared at the studio for another “initial” private session. She told me that she hadn’t gotten anywhere and decided to give me a call to start one on one sessions. Within a few months, her back pain had disappeared completely; she could touch her toes, she felt taller, and had lost 9 inches in her waist! Her only regret, she told me, was not committing and starting six months ago. Sarah is just one example of someone who benefited from personal one-on-one session. Here are my top reasons why working with a personal training instructor could be beneficial for you.
