Yoga And Crossfit

When two worlds collide it is sometimes difficult for one world to understand another. Especially when the two worlds, from an outside perspective, seem so far from being similar. Even those familiar with both practices may still be surprised as to how well they compliment one another. This can describe a lot of things in our lives, but today the focus is on Crossfit and Yoga.

It is becoming more popular across the Crossfit world for the athletes to implement yoga into their lives. Some boxes are even offering yoga classes at their box, like I have done at my mine.

Mobility is a huge part of Crossfit. Mobility exists in each Crossfit class but more importantly should exist outside of the box as well. Mobility is the ability to move or be moved freely and easily. According to Dr. Kelly Starrett, renowned Crossfit mobility expert and author of Becoming a Supple Leopard, for every Crossfit class you partake in, you owe your body one session of mobility.
